Lizenzpolitik

Das Nette Framework wird als freie Software verbreitet, die jeder verwenden darf. Sie können wählen, ob Ihren Bedürfnissen die New BSD oder die GNU General Public License (GPL) in der Version 2 oder 3 besser entspricht.

Für die meisten Projekte empfehlen wir die BSD-Lizenz, denn sie ist leicht verständlich und schränkt kaum ein, was Sie mit dem Framework tun dürfen. Sie können Nette auch in kommerziellen Projekten einsetzen. Passt die GPL besser zu Ihrem Projekt, wählen Sie ruhig sie. Ihre Entscheidung müssen Sie niemandem mitteilen. Bewahren Sie stets die ursprünglichen Copyright-Hinweise.

Sie sollten wissen, dass der Name “Nette Framework” eine eingetragene Marke ist und seine Verwendung bestimmten Einschränkungen unterliegt. Verwenden Sie “Nette” deshalb nicht im Namen Ihres Projekts oder in einer Domain oberster Ebene; wählen Sie lieber einen Namen, der aus eigener Kraft besteht. Ist Ihr Projekt gut, dauert es nicht lange, bis es sich einen eigenen Ruf erwirbt.
